What is Boston Tailored Tours?
Boston Tailored Tours is the new name for the premium private tour service, Boston Your Way. Since 2005 we have offered upscale custom outings for discerning visitors to our city.
We appeal to visitors who love discovering the culture and history of new places. And we appeal to those who appreciate the value of a guided tour, but expect a more polished, flexible, and attentive service than they can get from large city tours.
Our tours are offered year round and can be scheduled around our guests’ availability. They all include a dedicated private guide. Our drive tours are conducted in chauffeur-driven luxury vehicles. Tours can be arranged months ahead of time or up to the day before.
We make unique explorations happen
With our guidance, guests can shape unique explorations that reflect their interests and style of exploring. They can either select one of our suggested tours or create their own. We often answer requests to “show us around.” But we are happy to focus on a locale, such as Beacon Hill, a historic period, such as the Revolution, or a topic, such as sports or Boston’s literary leaders.
Fun and interactive, our tours reveal the city’s unique qualities with commentary rich with facts, lore and personal observations. We always mix history with contemporary and insiders’ corners with tourists’ must-sees. We make sure you don’t miss the Boston of Bostonians — where we shop, eat, play — and that you leave with ideas for the rest of your visit.
We cater to small parties
We focus on hosting small groups to assure we can deliver our distinctively attentive service most effectively. We have hosted both business and leisure visitors: couples, families, executives, convention-goers, bachelorettes, clients of local companies, cruisers, sales teams, high-tech experts, physicians, visitors on their own, scientists, attorneys, teachers & retirees.
Who is behind Boston Tailored Tours?
Boston Tailored Tours was founded as Boston Your Way by Maryglenn Vincens. A native New Yorker, she spent summers near her father’s home town of Boston, and eventually moved there when she was twenty – “just for one year.” Captivated by the city’s charm and liveability, she postponed her departure to study history at one of Boston’s many colleges. Over the past several decades, she has become her family’s fourth generation Bostonian.
Prior to Boston Tailored Tours, Maryglenn had a career in non-profit development and management and high-end client relations.
